About the release

BAPE and Crocs are back for their second collaboration, and this time they have moved on from the Classic Clog. The Echo RO Clog is a chunkier, more technical base with a full-length rubber outsole, and BAPE's COLOR CAMO covers all three colourways: Navy (Powder Blue), Red (Flame) and Purple (Grapeberry). Three custom Jibbitz charms — a GO! APE speech bubble, an APE HEAD and Baby Milo resting on a BAPE logo — come with each pair.

The release has a staggered rollout. BAPE drops first on 9 May 2026 via bape.com and select BAPE store locations. Crocs follows on 14 May 2026 via Crocs channels. Style codes: 213140-4SN (Navy), 213140-5BV (Purple), 213140-8C1 (Red).

Retail price is £110 across all three colourways in unisex sizing.

The Navy (Powder Blue) pair runs dark and mid-blue patches across the upper — the most wearable of the three and the closest to a classic BAPE camo application. The Red (Flame) pair uses scarlet and burgundy layering for the most assertive colourway in the pack. The Purple (Grapeberry) mixes violet, magenta and deeper indigo, giving it the most unexpected and arguably most fashion-forward energy of the three.

All three use the same tonal layering approach, where the camo sits within its own colour family rather than jumping between contrasting tones. It keeps each pair cohesive as a standalone while making the three together feel like a proper collection rather than three unrelated colourways.

Design and details

The Echo RO Clog has a fully moulded Croslite upper with a rounded closed toe and side ventilation cutouts. The COLOR CAMO print covers the upper entirely, with "A Bathing Ape" dimensional text on the forefoot and a PVC STA plate near the heel strap giving the shoe its clearest BAPE branding from the side. The back strap carries Crocs' round hardware and a heel pad for extra comfort, with the COLOR CAMO continuing around the heel.

The shooting star emblems sit fixed on the heel straps of each pair. The LiteRide footbed provides the cushioning base, and the full-length rubber outsole with raised jagged tread wrapping the lower edge is what distinguishes the Echo RO from a standard Crocs build — giving it proper outdoor traction beyond the usual foam-only construction.

The Jibbitz charms

Three custom BAPE Jibbitz come with every pair: a GO! APE speech bubble, an APE HEAD and Baby Milo resting on a BAPE logo. The charms are designed to be moved across the perforated upper, so the exact placement is up to the wearer. APE HEAD logos are also stamped into the footbeds, adding a further layer of BAPE branding inside the shoe.

LiteRide footbed and Croslite construction

Crocs' LiteRide footbed is the brand's most cushioned foam application, sitting between the Croslite upper and the rubber outsole to deliver a sink-in softness underfoot. The Croslite upper is water-friendly, buoyant, easy to clean and quick to dry — making the Echo RO genuinely functional for summer use beyond being a streetwear piece. The rubber outsole upgrade over standard Crocs foam is the key practical difference on the Echo RO, giving it significantly more grip and durability on varied terrain.

BAPE x Crocs: the collab story

BAPE and Crocs launched their first collaboration in March 2025 with three Classic Clogs covered in BAPE's ABC Camo pattern. Each pair came with Ape Head, Baby Milo, shark and tiger logo Jibbitz and the reception was strong enough that original pairs now trade well above retail on the secondary market.

The second chapter moves to the Echo RO, a more rugged silhouette that gives the partnership a different functional angle. The shift from ABC Camo to COLOR CAMO also gives the collection a distinct identity from the 2025 debut rather than retreading the same ground. BAPE, founded by Nigo in Harajuku in 1993, has used collaborations as a core part of its output for decades. Crocs has similarly leaned hard into limited-edition partnerships in recent years as one of its strongest commercial lanes.

Why this release matters

The first BAPE x Crocs drop sold well and held value on resale. This second chapter expands the partnership onto a more technical base and introduces COLOR CAMO where the first used ABC Camo, giving collectors a reason to engage with both rather than making the sequel feel redundant.

Three colourways, custom Jibbitz and a staggered release window that gives BAPE fans first access before the wider Crocs drop is a well-structured rollout. The $110 price point also keeps the barrier to entry reasonable for a collaboration of this profile.
