Side Kicks - Returns & Refunds Policy
This Returns & Refunds Policy (“Policy”) applies to purchases made via sidekicks.co.uk and our points-of-sale worldwide. By initiating a return you agree to this Policy. Your statutory rights (where applicable) remain unaffected.
Definitions
• “Goods” – all products sold by Side Kicks via sidekicks.co.uk or official Side Kicks retail locations.
• “Working Day” – Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays at the return address.
• “RA” – Return Authorisation issued by Side Kicks via your account or email confirming conditional acceptance; final approval follows inspection and re-authentication on receipt.
Eligibility & Condition Requirements
• You must request a return within 14 days from the date the carrier marks your order as delivered (“Cooling-Off Window”).
• Goods must be unused, unworn and returned in the same condition supplied, with all original packaging and accessories. The Side Kicks security/NFC tag must remain fully attached and untampered.
• Evidence of wear/handling (e.g., creasing, outsole wear, odour, soiling, missing accessories/packaging) may render the return ineligible or lead to a valuation reduction (see “Adjustments & Deductions” below).
• All returns are null and void if the Side Kicks security tag is removed, broken, detached, or re-attached. Do not remove the tag until you decide to keep the item. Tagged condition is required for eligibility and verification.
• Clothing items purchased by customers in the United States or Canada are final sale and may not be returned except where the Goods are defective, materially misdescribed, or not authentic.
• Vintage items that are more than five (5) years old may only be returned for Side Kicks store credit where a return is approved under this Policy.
• All collectible sales are final and non-returnable due to the nature of sealed packaging, authenticity requirements, and the inability to verify items once opened or handled after delivery. This does not affect your rights in relation to Goods that are defective, materially misdescribed, or not authentic.
How to Request a Return
• Visit account.sidekicks.co.uk, open the applicable order and submit a return request within the Cooling-Off Window. If eligible, you’ll receive an RA confirmation and further return instructions by email, including the specific return address for your region.
Ship-Back Deadlines & Packaging
• Once RA is issued, you must hand the parcel to the carrier (dropped off or collected) within 3 Working Days from the RA date. Labels created but not tendered within this period may be voided and the RA cancelled.
• The return instruction email will include the designated return address and any region-specific shipping instructions.
• Use protective outer packaging; do not ship shoeboxes unprotected. You must retain a trackable proof of postage. Title and risk remain with you until Side Kicks confirms receipt at our designated hub.
• Holiday returns: Orders placed 1 Nov–31 Dec may be returned until 15 Jan (standard conditions apply: item unworn/unused with SK tag attached; UK and international customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping; defective/misdescribed items excluded from deductions). The 3-working-day drop-off/pickup rule after RA still applies, and international returns must arrive within 14 working days of RA.
Return Shipping & Labels
• United Kingdom: Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping. Returned items must be handed to the carrier within 3 Working Days from the date the Return Authorisation (RA) is issued. You must retain a valid trackable proof of postage until the return has been fully processed.
• Outside the United Kingdom: Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping and for all customs duties, taxes, brokerage/handling fees and any other import/export charges, as well as accurate customs declarations. Parcels should be marked “Returned Merchandise – no commercial value.” If any such charges are billed to Side Kicks, they may be deducted under the “Adjustments & Deductions” section below. International returns must arrive at our designated return hub within 14 Working Days of RA issuance.
Inspection, Re-Authentication & Outcomes
• All returns undergo condition inspection and re-authentication upon arrival. Processing typically occurs within 0–3 Working Days of receipt.
• Approved: If the Goods pass inspection, we issue the applicable refund or Side Kicks store credit in accordance with this Policy, less applicable adjustments outlined under “Adjustments & Deductions” below.
• Not Approved: If condition criteria are not met (e.g., wear, damaged/missing tag, missing components), we will notify you. You may choose return-to-sender at your cost within 14 days of notification. Where carriage is unpaid or we cannot reach you, we may hold the item for 30 days and then dispose of or donate it in accordance with local law.
Adjustments & Deductions (where permitted by law)
• Carriage & handling: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and any import/tax/brokerage charges billed to Side Kicks for the return may be deducted where permitted by law.
• Valuation adjustment: Where handling exceeds what is necessary to establish the nature/characteristics/functioning of the Goods, a reasonable reduction may be applied to reflect diminished value.
• Administrative restocking adjustment: Side Kicks may apply an administrative restocking adjustment equal to ten percent (10%) of the order value, subject to a minimum charge of £15 GBP / €20 EUR / $20 USD, to reflect reverse-logistics, payment processing, operational and handling costs associated with the return. This adjustment is not applied where the item is defective, materially misdescribed, or not authentic.
• Non-recoverable charges: Currency conversion differences and payment-provider fees/timing are outside our control and are not refundable unless required by law.
Defects, Misdescriptions & Counterfeits
• If you believe the Goods are defective, materially misdescribed or not authentic, contact us promptly with supporting evidence.
• Once verified, we’ll issue an RA. All deductions under the “Adjustments & Deductions” section above (including any administrative restocking adjustment) are waived. You will receive a full refund or store credit for the Goods in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
• Goods determined to be counterfeit will not be returned to you. You will receive a full refund and we may cooperate with rights holders as required.
Exchanges
• We do not offer exchanges. Please place a new order. Approved returns are refunded or credited per this Policy.
Refund Method & Timing
• Approved refunds are issued either to the original payment method or as Side Kicks store credit, depending on the country, product category, and eligibility rules outlined in this Policy.
• For approved returns from customers in the United States and Canada, refunds are issued exclusively as Side Kicks store credit.
• Vintage items more than five (5) years old are eligible for Side Kicks store credit only where a return is approved.
• Once processed by Side Kicks, card/bank processors typically take 1–5 Working Days to post funds where applicable; timing depends on your payment provider. We cannot expedite third-party processing.
Country-Specific Provisions
• United Kingdom: Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 remain unaffected. Where these laws require refunds without certain deductions, those requirements prevail.
• EU/EEA: Where local consumer law grants a right of withdrawal, Side Kicks will honour those rights in accordance with the applicable member-state rules.
• United States & Canada: All sales are final unless the Goods are defective, materially misdescribed, or not authentic. Where a return is approved, refunds are issued exclusively as Side Kicks store credit. Clothing items purchased by customers in the United States or Canada are final sale and may not be returned except where the Goods are defective, materially misdescribed, or not authentic.
• Rest of World: Returns are accepted under this Policy unless local mandatory law provides otherwise.
In-Store Purchases & Returns
• Eligibility: Only items purchased in a Side Kicks retail store can be returned in-store within 14 days of purchase. Online orders must follow the online RA process and cannot be returned in-store.
• Condition: Items must be unworn/unused and in the same condition supplied, with all original packaging and accessories; the Side Kicks security/NFC tag must remain fully attached. Proof of purchase (receipt/e-receipt or the original card used) is required.
• Options: In-store returns may be exchanged or issued as store credit (gift card). Any price difference is settled in GBP or store credit.
• Refunds: Refunds to the original payment method are not offered for in-store returns, except where required by law. Defective or misdescribed goods are handled under the “Defects, Misdescriptions & Counterfeits” section above.
